What Questions Do You Not Ask Yourself?

Letters of Change

A weekly space for happiness, self-trust & the art of living well

Hello and welcome, Reader!

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the questions we don’t ask.

Not because we’re lazy or because we don’t care.
But because some questions feel just… uncomfortable.

They shake things.
They challenge our habits.
They threaten the stories we’ve been telling ourselves.

And yet those are usually the most important ones.

There are many ordinary examples of this in our everyday lives.

If I’m in a store and can’t find a product, I often won’t ask the assistant.
I’ll first check the name on my phone.

Or when a doctor gives me a prescription —
I don’t always ask about side effects right away.
I take the medicine… and only later, if something feels off, I start reading.

I think, people avoid questions not because they are stupid,
but because not knowing yet feels safer than knowing something that might require change.

We might feel:
• restless
• “off”
• dissatisfied
• bored or afraid

And instead of asking deeper questions, we say:

“I’m just tired.”
“I just need a vacation.”
“It’s probably nothing.”

But sometimes… it is something.

A Question That Made Me Think

Recently, someone asked me on LinkedIn (probably as a sales question, but still):

“If you were standing on the TEDx red dot with the cameras rolling, what is the ONE idea you’d want the world to remember?”

I’m not planning a TEDx talk right now.
But the question itself shifted something in me.

It gave me:
• a new perspective
• a possible direction
• a future-facing clarity

That’s the power of good questions.

Not answers.
Questions.

Not All Changes Are the Same

Some are about:
• direction
• identity
• pace
• energy
• letting go
• beginning

If you don’t know what kind of change you’re actually facing,
you can’t choose the right next step.

You’re not stuck or lacking courage.
You’re just navigating without coordinates.

Your Gentle Door

That’s exactly what I created the Readiness Quiz for.

Not to label you.
Not to push you into action.

But to let you meet the questions you’re not asking yourself yet
about your work, your energy, your direction, your next chapter.

If you’re not sure what questions you should even be asking about your life right now, this is a gentle place to start:

No pressure.
No performance.
Just clarity.

With warmth,

Elena

Lately, I've noticed a trend that's becoming increasingly common. People don’t struggle with change because they are not acting. They struggle because they move at the wrong time. Some move too fast.Others wait too long. And surprisingly, both paths often lead to the same place. Two Ways We Get Lost Photo by...
