Letters of Change

A weekly space for happiness, self-trust & the art of living well

Hello and welcome, Reader!

Here’s a true story from this week. One, I’m still living through.

I’m finishing a new book, a beautiful journal, which I hope to publish before December 1.
A small birthday promise to myself.
A window of time before my loved ones arrive.
A familiar dance between focus, discipline, and the desire for quality.

The journal is about halfway done.
The cover is being professionally designed.
But the interior? I tried finding someone — too expensive, too slow, and too many explanations for the time I don’t have.

And here came the question I didn’t want to face:

Do I push through?
Or do I let it unfold?

The old pattern: push harder, work faster

The “old me” would push.
Not because it’s healthy, but because it’s familiar.

A deadline.
A plan.
A sprint.

And yes, from a marketing perspective, a December release makes perfect sense. Journals are bought in December. People want gifts. Amazon algorithms love holiday energy.

But… I heard the wiser part of me saying:

"Don’t sacrifice joy for speed"

As I sat with it, I felt something shift.

I want the journal to be born from good, positive energy.
I want to enjoy creating it.
I want to be proud of the quality, even knowing I’m not a designer.

And so I made a gentle decision:

I will do what I can with joy.
If it flows — beautiful.
If not, it’s still part of the journey.

Not a failure.
Not a missed opportunity.
Just timing. Life’s quiet choreography.

Because the truth is this:

We don’t always control the pace.
But we do control how we feel moving through it.

And I choose to feel happy regardless of deadlines, seasons, or moods of the Amazon gods.

Some of my books are ready quickly.
Some need to stretch.
Some surprise me by finishing themselves :).

And some — well — they simply arrive when we are ready for them.

🤫Shh…

This new journal is about gentle transformation across all 4 seasons.
Maybe that’s why it’s teaching me to follow its rhythm, not force my own.

A small insight

Deadlines can motivate us or trap us.
The key is not choosing the “right” one.
It’s noticing what the deadline does to your heart.

Does it energize?
Or contract?
Does it inspire progress?
Or pressure?

Sometimes the bravest decision is to trust the process more than the plan.

A gentle prompt for your week

Where in your life are you pushing against your own timing?

What happens if you loosen your grip just a little and let things unfold?

This week is very special for me. It’s my birthday week, a moment that always nudges me to pause, look around, and whisper, “So… what have we learned this time?” And while many people share lists of lessons equal to their age, I decided that’s far too long for both of us. I don’t have 58 wise revelations, and...
